The Times, correspondent in Lisbon says that the German military attache in Lisbon disclosed to a source which is completely trustworthy that one of (he main reasons for the German olfensive was to keep the AII ies aw;i y from the subterranean factories in the neighbourhood of the Cologne and Karlsruhe coal mines and iron fields. These factories, some of which accommodate 18,000 workers, are Germany s chief hope of survival.
