FELL UNDER TRAIN
WOMAN'S LEG SEVERED (P.A.) PALMERSTON N„ Jan. 9. Miss Linda Dorothy Lesley Armstrong. aged 40. who resides at the Presbyterian Boys’ Home, Berhamporej Wellington, had her right leg completely severed at the ankle and suffered other injuries yesterday when she jumped from the rear platform of the leading carriage of the AucklandWcllington express as it. was coming into Palmerston North station. The train was still in motion and Miss Armstrong fell between the first and second carriages, the' Avhoels of the leading bogey of the second carriage passing over her right leg.
