MURDER OF BELGIANS

NAZIS SATIATE LUST FIENDISH "SLAUGHTER (in a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 2. The Associated Press correspondent at .Stnvelot says the fanatical S.S. Panzer units, without provocation, slaughtered at least 100 Belgian civilians in the first few days of the Germans’ break-through, state the military authorities. Acting under direct orders of their officers, the Germans, in most cases, clubbed, shot or burned to death all the civilians they encountered. Their lust for murder ceased only when the Americans finally checked Field Marshal Runrlsledt’s advance, keeping the Germans so busy fighting that they had neither time nor ammunition to spare for murdering civilians.
