“DUD” BOMB ON PALACE
LONDON, Dec. 21. It is now revealed that, in the early days of the blitz, a high-explo-sive bomb lift, long fell on Buckingham Palace and crashed through the Queen's apartment. The bomb failed to explode. It was dealt with by eight men from the. Palace Home Guard, who were on duly that night. Two of the men were cited for brave conduct.
