OPENING MEETING
AMATEUR ATHLETICS Many Gisborne, athletic enthusiasts took the opportunity of attending the opening meeting of the Gisborne Amateur A.thjetic and Harrier Club held on the Childers Road Reserve on Thursday nijdit. A programme of 1-1 running.. Jumping and Cycling events was run off, many of them being keenly contested. The meetings will be held weekly throughout the season and it is hoped Gisborne will be represented at the. women’s! and junior titles to he held ..in Napier in February.
