FIGHT IN BRISBANE BURNS WINS IN FIFTH (10 a.m.) BRISBANE, Dec 8. Tommy Burns, 10.fi. Queensland wclter--veight champion, scored a technical knockiut in the fifth round over Vic Caltaux. 10.0, Jew Zealand welterweight champion, at Brisbane stadium last night. Caltaux was completely out-boxed and out"ouglit, but struggled gamely throughout. - e was down three times in the lnurth round. Caltau.x’s rugged style was no match .or iurns' boxing ability. Burns floored ( al■iux early in the first round with a hard eft hook, but Caltau.x came back in the iccond and fought tenaciously, despite heavy muishment. Early in the fourth round laltaux wont down again from a terrific ’eft to the jaw. Floored twice again be"ore the hell, Caltaux was in distress at the end of the round. When Caltau.x was again looted early in the fifth the referee stopped the fight.
