NEWMARKET SALES (0 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 1">Prices soared lo an astonishing peak on tho second and final day of tho Newmarket yearling sales yesterday. Tho aggregate for the day was 251,400gn5. The total for both days was announced at 345,150gn5. for 311 lots, which is nn average of lllflgns. This approximates closely to the record return of 1928. The chief buyer yesterday was the Agr Khan. His agent spent 38,400gu5. on four lets, tho chief of which was a Sled mere Stud colt by Hyperion from Queen Christina cost ing !2,f)oogns. Tho bidding for this colt started ut JUOOgns. and developed into : duel between the agents of the Aga Khar and the Gackwar of Barotln.
