PACIFIC CAMPAIGN

ALLIED SUPREME CHIEF ISSUE ALREADY decided (10 a.m.) QUEBEC, Sept. 15. The question of a supreme commander in the Pacific .was disposed of before the Quebec conference and therefore, is not a question for a conference, said President Roosevelts secretary, Mr. Stephen Early, at a mess conference. Mr. Early said he did not know whether the decision was for a new command, a change in command or the status quo. He also refused to comment on Mr. T. P. Dewey's suggestion that General MacArthur should be appointed Allied over-all commander in the Pacific.
