SHIELD DEDICATED

LIBERATION OF PARIS ALLIED CHIEF’S TRIBUTE LONDON, Sept. 8. The Supreme Allied Commander. General Eisenhower, arrived in Paris by plane to-day and dedicated a shield commemorating the liberation of Paris by the French Forces of Ihe Interior.

The staff of the Allied High Command, including Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Tedder, proceeded to the Arc de Triomphe-. Only Field Marshal Montgomery and General Kennard were absent, Frenchmen clapped and cheered General Eisenhower who, in a brief: speech, said that every member of the Allied forces shared in the joy of the liberation of Paris.
