A regional cohficil for all the African States south of the Sahara would involve thb Governments of the United Kingdom, Prance, Belgium, Portugal, Southern Rhodesia and the Union ol Sdcfth Africa, but the approval of the British Government is obviously necessary in view of the large British territories involved. • scope for common action for an African regional council will probably be discussed at the London conference in co-operation with the interAllied States. Africa has been closer than ever during the war and it is felt in South Africa that this should continue after the War.
