CESSATION REFUSED
EXPORTS TO GERMANY NEUTRALS DEFY ALLIES (9 a.m.) LONDON, April 20. Two neutral countries refused Allied requests to cease sending war supplies to Germany. The Daily Express correspondent in Stockholm reports that Sweden has formally rejected a British-American request for the cessation of exports of ball-bearings to Germany. The Swedish Parliament in secret session unanimously approved the Government’s decision. Portugal has refused to end exports of wolfram to Germany.
