GISBORNE ZONE FUND PATRIOTIC DONATIONS TOTAL REACHES £2 787 The effort of the Gisborne patriotic zone committee to raise "its quota of £7200 for the current year’s contribution to the National Patriotic Fund Board’s programme is making good progress, arid to-day’s list of donations brings the total to £2787. Among the rriajor items which have come to hand recently are £260 from the Women’s Representative Combiittee, mainly proceeds' of show catering, £417 from the proceeds of shopdays, £3Ol from the “Hullo Victory” revue, £125 from the sale of patriotic maize crops, £153 from the Red Cross Society, £IOO as a direct donation from Messrs Murray, Roberts and Company and £97 representing the Gisborne zone committee’s proportion of the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board’s contribution of £2OO to the district fund.
