ALLIED PLANES' TOLL (British Official Wireless.) (11 a.m.) RUGBY, March 14. Aircraft from the Middle East took a further toll of the enemy’s JUs2’s yesterday in the Aegean Sea, states Allied Headquarters. Beaufighters on patrol intercepted a formation of three JU 52’s off the south coast of Rhodes and shot down two into the sea. On Sunday Beaufighters attacked a supply ship in the port of Naussa on Paros and Naxia harbour on Naxos. They set two on fire.* From these and other operations, one aircraft is missing.
