Greymouh Harbour
The Minister of Marine, the Hon. J. O’Brien, met the Grcymouth' Harbour Board in connection with the state of the bar and proposed harbour schemes embodying a deep-sea proposal and an alternative inlet harbour on Codbcn Island. He was accompanied by Mr. p \y Furkerl. former chief engineer 0 f the Works Department. Mr. O'Biien promised to give consideration to the various plans, and, with the board and Mr. Furkeri, will endeavour to find a solution toward improving the bar conditions. No improvement is hoped for until a heavy pood sweeps away the silt.
