BIG WHISKY SHIPMENT

SYDNEY, Oct. 23. A shipment of nearly 200,000 gallons of Scotch whisky will probably arrive in Australia before the end of the year under a special import license. Official returns show that an acute shortage of whisky is likely in the near future because of rapid depletion of stock. Matured stock of at least one variety of Australian whisky, it is reported, is at a very low level, while the output from another source is unable to meet the demand.
