ABERDEEN ANGUS SALE 700GNS. BULL FOR WAIROA The New Zealand Aberdeen Angus Cattle Breeders* Association held its twenty-third annual sale and show in Dannevirke on Wednesday under ideal spring conditions. There were buyers from all parts of the Domin ion. Prior to the sale there was a show of cattle. The result of the judging was as follows: Champion bull and best two-year-old.— Donald Grant’s Embassy 16th of Manga tore won the Carlyon-Grant Cup and was afterwards sold for GOOgns. to Mr. D. W. J. Gould, of Christchurch. Second prize was also won by Mr. Grant, third by A. Me* Guilin, v.h.c. by G. V. Smith, and h.c. by A. MeGaffin. Yearlings.—First. Embassy 20th of Mangatoro, exhibited by Donald Grant and sold for TOOgns. to Mr. Humphrey Bayly, Wairoa. Group of three bulls.—First award was won by Donald Grant with a team of two-year-olds, second place going to the same vendor with a group of yearlings. The prices realised at this sale are a record'in the history of the association. 151 bulls selling under the hammer and realising a total of 17,263gn5., an average of lM ; \gns.
