ACTIVITIES PROBED REQUEST FOR INQUIRY (9 a.m.) NEW YORK. Oct. 15. The professional golfer, Joe Kirkwood said that he would ask the Washington Naval Intelligence Board of Inquiry for a hearing to determine if he were being investigated as an enemy agent. Kirkwood told the United Press that navy investigators had questioned other golf professionals and friends about him for two months, but had not approached him. The United Press added that Kirkwood had twice paid lengthy visits to Japan on a tour with other golfers.
