NEW SCHEDULE

MARINE RATES INSURANCES FIXED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 12. Advices have been received that the schedule of war and strike rates for marine insurances to and from the undermentioned ports is now as follows: North and Central America, Atlantic and Pacific, ports via any route to or from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific islands, seven per cent, except Pacific ports via the Pacific, for which the rate is four per cent. Australia, New Zealand and Pacific islands via Panama to and from the West Indies, six per cent. Australia or New Zealand to or from the Mediterranean east of Alexandria, 8J per cent. Turkey. ex-Mediterranean east of Alexandria and ex-Black Sea, 10 per cent. The strike risk is now at a minimum rate of one-twentieth per cent out. India and Ceylon remain unchanged at 1 1-3 per cent.
