Extra choice ox made to £2 2s per 1001 b.: choicest prime, £1 19s to £2 Is; secondary and plain, £1 15s to £1 17s; extra prime young cow and heifer beef, £1 18a to £1 19s: choice and prime, £1 12s to £1 14s ; ordinary, £1 7s to £1 10s. Extra heavy prime steers made £l7 to £l3 7s Gd: heavy, £ls 10s to £l6 10s; lighter. £l3 10s to £l4 10s; light, £l2 to £l3; small mid unfinished, £9 10s to £11; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers. £ll to £l2; heavy, £9 to £10; lighter. £7 10s to £S 10s; lielit, t's los to i'll 10s : aged and unfinished, £3 His to £5. Competition was good for a full entry of mutton. Wethers realised fillip late rates and ewes improved in value. For an average entry of lambs the demand was steadv at foil late rates. Four spring lambs realised to £1 15s Cd-: heavy prime lambs, £1 Ss to £1 10s; medium. £l (Is Cd to £.l. 7s fid: lighter, £1 3s to £1 ss; light, £1 to £1 2s: small and plain. 9s to 1 Ss.
There was an average entry of calves which met strong Competition, all classes realising recent quotations. A line of extra heavy 20-month runners made to £l2 10s. averaging £lO 13s 4d. Other runners made £(> 15s to £10; heavy vpalers, £fi fin to £7 2s; medium. £5 5s to £6 2s; light, £3 15s to £5: small. £1 lOs to £3 10s; unfinished' and bucket fed, £1 3s to £2 2s; bobby and rough, 5s to £l.
