PROMOTION IN RANK (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 20. Major-General K. f A. N. Anderson, commander of the British First Army, has been promoted to lieutenantgeneral. Major-General F. N. Mason MacFarlane, Governor and Comman-dcr-in-Chief of Gibraltar, has also been promoted to lieutenant-general.
