HITLER’S POSSIBLE MOVE NEW YORK, July 20. Major Fielding Eliot, writing in the Herald-Tribune, says it is possible that the German High Command has abandoned all hope of saving Sicily in favour of trying to save Orel. The German air reserve has not appeared to support the Axis in Sicily, while Moscow reports greatly increased air activity on the Orel front. Therefore it can be concluded that Hitler has diverted to Russia the only weapon which could have influenced the Sicilian fighting.
