SUPPLIES CUT OFF
BOMBING OF SARDINIA (9 a.m.) LONDON. July 21. Sardinia has practically ceased to export lead arid zinc ores to Italy as a result of the Royal Air Force’s bombing. The Italian war machine is affected as Sardinia is responsible for 90 per cent, of the total Italian production of lend and zinc, both of which are widely used in tile armament industry. Italy also- relies on Sardinia for supplies of nickel, cobalt and molybdenium.
