EXCELLENT SCORING

MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB No. 2 SERIES BEGUN Members of the Gisborne Miniature Rifle Club have completed the first round of llnNo. 2 Trophy series. Keen competition was witnessed in all sections of the match and excellent scores were a feature of the results in every tirade. H. A. Low, who registered a splendid tartrot of 99, headed tjie handicap list in the A tirade, and W. J. Burton also returned a 99.

High scores were numerous in the It Grade, in which l>. Robinson figured prominently with n fine tally of 98. The handicap honours in the Women's Division were keenly contested arid Mrs. Lloyd narrowly heat Mrs. Bur.sop for pride of place, while Mrs, Dolman's 9S was the best "scratch” performance. Seven competitors tied for llie prize in the Pistol Match and a shoot-otf will he held next week. Last week's trophy went to E. R. Williams.

Tile final round of the first trophy ill the Archery Match was also competed last week, when W. J. Billion (138) Was' the lopscorer in the A Grade and IT. E. Powell (9-j) was the most successful in the B Grade. The trophy finally resulted in a win for IJ. Soijersteu in the A Grade, while Miss Greig. Ef R. Williams' and P.
