Flavors hfive been selected to represent Poverty Bay in tin* forthcoming representative hockey matches against Wairoa tu b< played on tin* Chihlers Road Reserve or
•Saturday week. The most important, of the two matches, that of the ladies* representative game for the Lady Carroll Shield, should prove very interesting. Poverty Cay are the holders ol the shield from their win last year. ’Pin* men's representative team will play for the Single Cup.
The following have been selected to represent Poverty Bay:— Women’s Representative Team. Coalkeeper, Mrs. Tupara; full-backs, Mrs. Algi< (Kia Toa) and Miss P. Blanc (Kia Toa) ; halves. Misses Jones (Waituhi), Willie (Wai tnhi) and Hankey (Amazons) ; forwards. Miss P. East, Mrs. Cotter (Y.M.P.), Mrs. Ereatarua (Waituhi), Miss Brown (Waituhi) and Miss Smiler (Waituhi). Emergencies: Forwards, Mrs. Le Bas (Kia Toa) and Mis: .T. Creig (Kia Toa); backs. Miss J. Jone:(Amazons) and Mrs. R. Watts (Kia Toa). Men’s Representative Team.—(.’oalkeeper. R. Watts; full-backs, M. Smiler and (J. Tupara; halves, C. Cassia, K. Nicol and A. Taylor; forwards, J. Easton, S. Smiler, J. Edwards, J. Creig and M. Robertson. Emergencies: Backs, K. Cassia: half, A. Walsh: forwards, L. Norman and Hughes. The draw for the matches to be played in the Poverty Bay Hockey Association’s competitions next Saturday is as follows: Men’s Section.- High School v. A.T.C., No. 7 ground, 1.30 p.m.: Waituhi v. Foresters B, No. 2 grouml. 2.30 p.m. ; Air Force v. Foresters A. No. I ground, 2.30 p.m. Women’s Section. —Amazons v. Y.M.P., No. 1 ground, 1.30 p.m.; Kia Toa v. Nurses, No. ?. ground, 3.30 p.m.
