DISTINGUISHING PATCH A member of a unit of the Royal New Zealand Air Force who recently returned after eight months’ service in the South Pacific states that, on being remustered to New Zealand stations, the men were ordered to remove the New Zealand shouldci patch, their only indication of overseas service, although all Army personnel from overseas retained Uvirs as a right. It was contended that members ol the air force who had served abroad, most of whom had had fever and all of whom had had a hard time, were as much entitled to wear the paten as servicemen of the last war were entitled to their ribbons. Until a few months ago New Zealanders with service in various branches of the Royal Navy were similarly denied the right to wear the dislingui.Tiing patch of the Dominion.
