MINISTER of defence N.2. FORCES PRAISED (P.A.) AUCKLAND. July 19. The Minister of Defence, ike -Hon F. Jones, arrived in 1 Auckland on Saturday’ from an official tour'which Has taken him to "many countries and has enabled him to i meet' l ali*nost all the Allied political and military lenders. He ’saw practically evbfv unit of’ the N.Z.E.F. in the Middle East and Britain. He also saw a good portion of the N.ZIE.F. in the Pacific. “Wherever I 'went. I found the New Zealanders exceptionally ” well,” said the Minister. The’-'Pi'ime Minister, Mr Winston Churchill, could not praise them enough for the magnificent things they had ' done. President Roosevelt was equally complimentary.”
