Pictures for America

Art dealers in Auckland have noticed a steadily improving demand by Americans for- the works of New Zealand artists. The pictures which sell most readily are watercolours, mainly landscapes. A number of paintings by well -known artists of the Dominion also have been acquired through the Auckland Society of Arts, although, in the opinion of a member of the society, it seems that not many Americans know that this can be done.
