Roll out 8 oz. short pastry, line basin. Mix 2 tablespoons cold water with 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 2 tablespoons Bournville Cocoa, and fill basin with 1 lb. sliced apples. Cover with pastry. Cover with greased pajier and bake in good oven. Serve hot with whipped cream flavoured with t teaspoon cocoa, or with a chocolate sauce. m $ lb. flour, 4 oz. butter ’ 1 oz ' Bournville Cocoa, 2 oz. sugar, 1 teaspoon Baking Powder, 1 egg (well beaten), pinch salt, and a little milk. Rub butter into dry ingredients and mix with egg and milk. Cut into diamonds and bake in moderate oven. When cold, join together with filling made of 2 oz. butter, 3 oz. icing sugar, and flavour with vanilla. Bournville Cocoa still, at ~ pre-war prices. Costs less; than other cocoa because you use less.
