THEFT OF CIGARETTES
(P.A.) , DUNEDIN. July 15. Described as*a deserter from the army, Robert Warlc Johnston, aged 23, admitted in the Police Court • to-day the theft of 3000 cigarettes and other articles from a room in an hotel used as a distribution centre for visiting American Marines. The accused was sentenced to one month’s gaol with hard labour.
