holding axis .areas ATLANTIC CHARTER (British Official Wireless.) (11 a.m.) RUGBY, July 15. The question whether the Atlantic Charter would debar the United States and Britin from continuing to hold certain strategic points, formerly in Axis hands, was raised in the House of Commons. The deputy-Prime Minister, Major C. R. Attlee, replied that nothing in Ihe Atlantic Charter would, in the opinion of the British Government, preclude the United Nations frora taking any necessary steps to afford all nations the means of dwelling m safety within their own boundaries.
