Gray, of Auckland, who is a prisoner in the Stalag 383, writes of a “touching example of comradeship in this camp.” He said that when a New Zealander was very ill recently, and, it was thought, unlikely to live, it was stated that a certain natural food tome would be of the greatest benefit. This tonic was contained in American food parcels. Sergeant Gray, with Ser-geant-Major G. T. Secombe, approached some Americans, who immediately gave their tins and refused any payment.
