MATAWHERO STOCK SALE Owiiv.*: to the* heavy rain on Thursday night there wore small entries at the Mata when) stock sale yesterday. The yards were in bad comjitiqn and the sale was pvor by ) P*m. Beef Section. —Four sold at AM 2s, three at A 3 14s, soul two as A 3 10s. Fat Sheep.—There was a full yarding. A top line of well-finished ewes made 21s. There was a slacker demand for trood average ewes, running from 14s 6d to 17s. One pen of wethers made 26s Id. Store Sheep.—There was- a yarding of 2000, mostly hop:Rets. The demand at the opening of the sale was a bit slack, but it firmed up as the sale proceeded. A line of 25>S woolly wether hop-pets well grown and in pood condition on account of Mr. S. Reeves, Tolajrn Bay, sold at 20s 7d. There was a sprinkling: of breeding ewes, but the demand was not keen and there was not much alteration in prices. A Npatapa line of 9!! mixed used up to six years. Southdowns, from Mr. A. Perry, sold nt ISs lOd. Pius. —Tire entry comprised two light porkers ut 90s. .
