RELEASE FOR FARMS

LEND-LEASE MACHINERY Quantities of lend-lease agricultural machinery and equipment will shortly be made available for release to farmers throughout New Zealand, and details of the procedure have been communicated to' district committees of the primary production councils in Southland. Committee members will be requested to report on each application for the use of machinery in their district so that it may be granted only to those farmers likely to put it to the maximum economical use. In the case of tractors it is considered that they should not be released unless it can be shown that they will be used for at least 2000 hours a year.
