WOMEN CONSTABLES
The urgent 1 need for uniformed women constables to be on duty in the streets was stressed at the monthly meeting of the Auckland branch of the National Council of Women, at which the president, Miss A. 11. Basten, presided. It was decided to make further representations to the Commissioner of Police on the subject.
