A statement that, owing: to, a revision of: the military, programme, l additional: loom space for the weaving of essential civilian clothes should: be made available during the current-six months is made by. the Minister: of Supply, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, in aletter to a Matamafa draper. Efforts have been made, Mr. Sullivan writes, to release through' the normal trading channels a;, greater quantity of navy and grey flannel fOr school 1 wear.. This supply; together with civilian flannels being manufactured by the New Zealand mills, should meet demands for the present, year. A source of supply is also being, sought in Australia.
