OBITUARY
MR. JAMES TAIT The death has occurred of Mr. James Tait, of Bay View, a wellknown Hawke’s Bay farmer and stoc-v breeder. Mr. Tait was born at Watkari in. 187.0, Be specialised, m Romnev-cross sheep, wool-growing and Hereford-Polled Angus cattic. Ijn ) 924 Mr. Tait purchased Whakarqa farm, a fat lamb, wool-growing anfl Polled. Angus, property. Mr. Tait wa: ) married twice. In 1901 he married Miss Florence U'Rcn, the eldest daughter of Mr. Thomas U’R'en, who was the first white titan born in the Gisborne, district In. 19-15 he married Miss Jessie' Pttflett. eldest daughter of Mr. R. Pufiett. of Napier. Besides Ins. widow he leaves three daughters, Sister M. D. Tait, serving overseas with the Nursing Division, and Mrs. j: Etheridge, Napier, and Mrs. A. McHardy, Bay View, and four sons. Private U’Ren Tait, serving overseas, and Messrs. S. Tait, Hamilton, aim T. and P. Tait, Bay 1 View.
