DEATH OF MR. T. WALSH SEAMEN’S UNION LEADER (9 am) SYDNEY, April 9. Mr. Thomas Walsh, the stormy petrel of the Australian .Seamens Union of 20 years ago, is dead. He was 73 years of age.. As secretary of the Seamen’s Union, Mr. vvals t took a leading part in the big. strike in 1025 and was later ordered to he deported. . Mr. Walsh, who was horn in Ireland, challenged an order which was ruled to be ultra vires. Subsequently, he sued the Government for £2O, uu for wrongful arrest, and false imprisonment.
