HITLER AND MUSSOLINI PLANS FOR DEFENCE GO a.m.) LONDON, April 8. Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini are reported to be conferring on the steps to be taken for the defence ol Europe against invasion, says the Associated Press in Berne, quoting a Rome report. The correspondent adds that the conference is probably being held in Ihe Brenner Pass.
