(P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 9. Appointments “ and proffiotions Pf officers of ' the’ Second N.Z.p.F-. gazetted last night include the following:

New Zealand Infantry.—Captain G. T tiptop to be major; Captain I. H. MacArthiir, brigade, headquarters, ip be major.

Ne\v Zealand Ordnance Corps.— Captain S. A. Knight to be major.

These officers are serving in the Pacific.

New Zealand Infantry.—lVlaior J. Conolly to lie 'temporary liputenaiifeolonel whilst commanding a battalion; Captain C. D. Fi Bowie to' be major; Captain (temporary major) J. R. J. Connolly to he major; Major (temporary lieutenant-colonel) G. M. Bennett, Maori Battalion, to. be lieul.colonel: Captains E. R.' Andrews and G. E. Hartnell to 'be majors; Major T. B. Morten, southern infantry, to be temporary lieutenant-colonel while commanding a battalion. New Zealand Medical Corps.— Colonel P. A. Arclagh to he temporary brigadier and Is seconded to G.H.Q., Middle East force, for ditty as deputydirector of medical services of a corps.

New Zealand Ordnance Corps. Major J.' O. Kelsey to be lieutenant" colonel; Captain 11. B. Ward to bp major.

Lieutenant-Colonel S, F. Hartnell, New Zealand Armoured Corps, is appointed second-in-command of a New Zealand brigade. Lieutenant-Colonel R. T. Smith is appointed to, command the Np.W Zealand railway construction and maintenance group. Lieutenant-Colonel F. P. Furkert is appointed assistant-director of medical services of a New Zealand division. These officers arc serving in the Middle East.
