SIGNS OF OFFENSIVE AIR SUPERIORITY GROWS (10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, April V The statement by the New Zealand Minister to Washington, Mr. W. Nash, that an offensive may be expected in the Pacific simultaneously with the projected Allied invasion of Europe may be optimistic, but it indicates that things are moving, comments the New York Times. The growing Allied aerial superiority in the Pacific and the quick recovery of the American Navy has lie 1 a basis for a campaign. The change in the Pacific plans may be an explanation for Japan’s husbanding her fighting forces and General Tojo’s statement that the war is becoming more serious, for which Japan must increase her fighting strength. __
