Cows and heifers came forward in tin* usual numbers and sold freely at late quotations. Extra choice ox made to £1 19s per 1001 b. ; choice and prime, £1 16s to £1 18s; secondary and plain, £1 J2s to £1 14s; extra prime young cow. and heifer, £1 11s to £1 15s; choice and prime, tl 8s to £1 10s; ordinary cow beef. £1 3s to £1 ss. Extra heavy prime steers made £ls to .£l6 Bis; heavy, £l3 10s to £l4 10s: lighter, £l2 to £l2 15s: light, £ll to £ll 47s 6d; small and unfinished, £7 to £lO 10s; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers. £lO to i‘Jl Bis; heavy, £8 10s to £9 15s; lighter, .£6 10s to £7 15s; light, £4 to £6. Runners ,made £5 10s to £lO ss; heavy vealers, £5 5s to £6 10s: medium, £1 Ills to £5; light, £3 5s to £4 ss; small, £1 5s to £3; unfinished and bucket fed, 15s to £1 10s; bobby and rough, 5s to 18s. Tie re was a good entry of pigs. Values for baconers were fully firm, while prices for porkers and stores were lower. Chop-/ pars made £2 to £4 ss: heavy baconere. .£4 is to £1 8s; medium, £3 18s to £4 2s; light. £3 12s to £3 16s; heavy porkers, £3 3s to £3 ss; medium, £2 Ms to £2 19s; light, £2 6s to £2 11s; small and unfinished, £2 to £2 2s; stores, £1 2s to £1 14s; slips. 17s to £1 2s; weaners, 10s to 15s.
