A Navy Department communique; states that an American aircraft war; attacked by eight Zeros during a, reconnaissance over Wake Island on: Monday. Two Zeros were believed to have been destroyed. Flying Fortresses bombed the airfield at. Ballade in the Shortland area on Tuesday.
