MARRIAGE BY PROXY
U.S. DENTIST OVERSEAS FIANCEE IN AMERICA ('Ey Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) 19.30 a.m.) SAN DIEGO, Dec. 13. Captain Stacy Clapp, an American Army dentist, who is now in Australia and Miss Eleanor Persons, an aircraft worker, are to be married by proxy. Lieut.-Colonel Devlin, who introduced the couple, will say “I do” for the bridegroom at a Congregational Church service. Captain Clapp proposed by letter on October 29 and Miss Persons cabled her acceptance.
