N.Z. CONGRATULATIONS KNIGHTHOOD AWARD (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 12. In the course of a cable message to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Freyberg, tendered his thanks to the New Zealand people who have expressed and felt satisfaction at the K.C.B. award to him recently. . , '‘Please tell them,” LieutenantGeneral Freyberg said, “that I shall wear the honour with great pride, well knowing it was given to me as commander of the New Zealand Division as a token of deep appreciation of the exceptional services of their division during the Greece, Crete' and Western Desert campaigns.”
