CAMPAIGNS OF N.Z.E.F.
SURVEYS TO BE ISSUED

(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 14. With the object of providing for New Zealand people a connected account' of the various campaigns in which the Second N.Z.E.F. has taken part, arrangements have been made for the publication of a series of brief surveys describing the experiences of the men oversea:?, said, the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, last night. These interim histories will be written in simple, non-technical language and will be profusely illustrated with- photographs, sketches and maps, and should fill a gap until 1 the official, history to be produced at the end of' the War is availablte. The Minister said that the series of surveys will be based on information from official sources, and every care had been taken to, ensure accuracy. The first* will be available shortly. It will deal with 1 the activities of the expeditionary force up to the commencement of the Greek campaign, and a section of the survey will give’ the fullest account' yet published of the Long-Range Desert Group.
