WAIROA NEWS
Sergeant Pat Neale, who recently returned to Wairoa from overseas, has left for Wellington; where’ he will, enter hospital to undergo further treatment.- —Mr. S. Reuouf, who lias been on a visit to his brother, Mr. J. Renouf, Wairoa, has returned to Wellington. —Mr. and Mrs. C. Menzies, who have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. Smith, Wairoa, have'returned to Auckland;—Private J. Heslop, who has been spending his leave with his'parents; Mr. and Mrs. G. Heslop, Wairoa, has returned to camp.—Privates D. L. Harker, C. Fittock, C. Duley. T. Mildon and G. Gay are spending their leave with relatives iii Wairoa; ‘ ' * Lieutenant Don* Mitchell, who is reported to have died of wounds, was a well known resident of Nuhaka. He represented Wairoa on many occasions at Rugby and was an exceptionally fast three-quarter. The late Lieutenant 1 Mitchell was 38 ’ years of age.
