U.S. FORCES IN BRITAIN (9 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 17. American soldiers in Britain may now marry and their wives will be paid the full allowance which is £8 15s monthly in the case of privates. To check hasty weddings a soldier must give his commanding officer three months’ notice of his intention o marry. Marriage does not make the woman an American citizen but she will not be required to enter America under the quota when going to America. She can easily take out American citizenship papers.
