RUSSIAN DEFENCE SUCCESS AT VORONEJ (2.10 p.m.) ~LONDON, Aug 14 Moscow reports that the situation at Kletskaya is more tense, but deadly Russian artillery and mortar fire has diminished the threat to Stalingrad lr.om Kotelnikovo. The Germans have broken througn the Russian defences at Mineralnye Vody. A fierce battle continues. The Russians retain the initiative on both flanks of the Voronej from and have captured three strategic points south of Voronej, where they reached the railway, intercepting German communications.
