AUSTRALIAN ARMIES EQUALITY ADVOCATED (Special Australian Correspondent.) (10.30) SYDNEY, Aug. 17. One Australian fighting army, by merging the Australian Imperial Force and the Australian Militia Force, is favoured by the executive of the Federal Parliamentary Opposition. Mr A. W. Fadden, the Opposition Leader, states that the executive believes one fighting army should enjoy the same conditions of service pay and pensions and should be available for use wherever required .to defeat the Axis Powers. At present only the A.I.F. .troops may be sent abroad.
