TE KARAKA NEWS

A very successful social evening in aid of the baby campaign funds was held in the Waikohu Hall, Te Karaka, oil Thursday. Competitions and dancing went witli a swing, and a euchre tournament controlled by Mr. G. Jones proved very popular, the winners being:—Ladies.—Mrs. Young, 1; Mrs. E. H. Robinson, 2. Gentlemen.—Mr. E. H. Robinson. 1; Mr, W. V. Luttrell, 2. Additional Prizes.—Mrs. H. Haata and Mr. A. E. Buckingham. Dancing was under the supervision of Mr. M. Hindrup, with music contributed by Miss L. Rum, and extras by Mibs V. Trotter. Of the many entrants for the Monte Carlo waltz the prize-winners were Mr. K. Tuapawa and Miss V. Trotter. '
